Compost delivery

Although it's full of nutrients, compost is light enough to let your garden breathe. However, it isn't light enough to carry around all day. Like all kinds of landscaping materials, mushroom compost weighs a lot and can be a challenge to transport.

All Green offers a superior compost delivery service to homes and businesses around Melbourne. We can deliver any amount you desire — from one bag to truckloads — to your home or job site within a few business days. Learn more on our delivery services page.

Frequently asked questions

How do I use mushroom compost?

Mushroom compost is ready to be fed straight into your garden. Our mushroom compost has been decomposing for weeks and weeks, releasing all the necessary nutrients your plants need to flourish.

To use, simply aerate your compost, and mix it into your topsoil.

The results will speak for themselves. For more tips and tricks on using compost in your garden, visit us at All Green. Our in-house horticulturists and landscaping specialists can advise you on exactly what products you need to get the best-looking plants, season after season.

How do I make compost, step by step?

Mastering the art of making compost is excellent for reducing food waste at home. It's also a great way to decrease your environmental footprint. If you're ready to make compost at home, you can read our in-depth, step-by-step guide to at-home composting.

We understand that not everyone has the time and space to make their own compost. That's why we sell our premium blend of mushroom compost. Available by the bag or truckload from your local All Green Nursery & Garden. Order online, call or drop by, and we can deliver them to your home or job site.

How do I set up a compost bin or compost heap?

If you are looking to set up your own compost bin at home, here's what you need to do. First, select a plastic or pallet box to place outdoors. Then, start collecting your compost from your food and garden scraps; you should aim for a balance of 1/3rd green compost and 2/3rd brown compost.

Here's what you should compost:

  • All vegetable and fruit scraps
  • Eggshells
  • Tea and coffee grounds
  • Grass clippings and weeds
  • Old flowers and dry leaves
  • Vacuum dust and dog hair
  • Unwaxed paper and cardboard

Do not throw our meat, bones, dairy, or anything else that will attract rodents. Likewise, plastic, glass, and other non-biodegradable materials will also be detrimental to your garden.

If you don't have the space in your garden, or this all sounds like too much work, hop on over to All Green. We have literally tonnes of compost ready to be delivered to your garden.
